So much for the leaked Beyonce Super Bowl setlist that included Destiny’s Child reunion in New Orleans?
Last week, a Beyonce “insider” gave Us Weekly a sneak preview of Sunday night’s highly anticipated performance and it included a few tracks with Beyonce joined by former bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland in a Destiny’s Child reunion to promote their new greatest hits compilation “Love Songs.”
But Williams came out over the weekend and said it’s not happening. She’s in a play, “Fela,” she insists and the rumor is not true. (Then again, this is what the official “Fela” webside says: PLEASE NOTE: Michelle Williams will not be appearing January 31st – 3rd.)
It’s a bummer for all those excited to see the girl power group take over the SuperDome stage. Or is this just supposed to lead us all off the trail to be surprised and excited when Williams and Kelly Rowland join Beyonce at halftime?
We’ll just have to wait and see. Six days to go til the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show.
