Game isn’t going so well for the Giants, but at least there have been some notable commercials in this quarter.
Loved the Fiat 500 Abarth commercial with the hot Italian-speaking woman and the nerd, though someone here remarked that the name “Abarth” is not a very sexy one.
It was great to see Regis Philbin again in the Pepsi Max commercial. And by the way, how cool was it to have Betty White in a Super Bowl ad again this year ? This time it was for NBC’s “The Voice,” which is coming on after the game. Betty is one amazing 90-year-old.
Toyota’s New and Improved commercial was cool. The Dannon Oikos ad featuring John Stamos was OK. Ditto, Century 21 spot with Trump and speedskater Apollo Ohno.
Really liked the Acura NSX spot with Jerry Seinfeld and The Soup Nazi, even though I’d already read all about it.
Recently, an advertising expert, noting that many companies now release their spots before the Super Bowl, told me that people used to watch the game not knowing what they were going to see in the ads, and now they watch because they do know and look forward to seeing it.
I think I liked the surprise element better. How about you?
